Vintage White Cherry Blossom Cloisonné Tassel Box Necklace

Vintage Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Stash Box Necklace.  Cherry Blossom on White. 

A hand-enameled cloisonné pendant box, wire-worked in fine brass cells and filled with color,  cherry blossom branches with blossoms set against a crisp white ground patterned with cloud-scroll motifs. Cobalt blue scalloped bands frame the top and base.

The lidded box opens on a hinge, brass-bound at every edge, and hangs from a hand-knotted cream silk cord finished in two full silk tassels, a traditional touch historically used on scent boxes and keepsake containers carried close to the body.

Worn as a statement necklace or displayed as a small object of its own, this piece carries the kind of handwork no longer produced at this level, each cell individually filled and fired.

Vintage, sourced through careful curation. Likely a silk chord. Discoloring is visible on the chord & tassels. Natural wear on the exterior. Overall good condition. Lid opens easily and closes correctly.
