Vintage Dragon Cloisonné Tassel Box Necklace

A rare vintage 1970s hand-enameled cloisonné pendant box featuring a five clawed dragon in imperial yellow and gold, coiling across a white ground scattered with cloud-scroll motifs. A design rooted in centuries of Chinese decorative tradition, where the dragon symbolizes power, protection, and good fortune.

The box opens on a hinge to reveal a lined interior, brass-bound at every edge, and hangs from a hand-knotted silk cord finished in two long silk tassels. Wearable as a striking pendant necklace or kept as a small curiosity box.

Vintage, sourced through careful curation. Chord shows wear and aged discoloration. Box has some wear, good condition.  Opens easily. Pendant metal appears to be brass.
