Vintage  Cobalt Blue hand-enameled cloisonné pendant purse box featuring a peacock in full fan against a crisp white ground, its tail rendered in rich cobalt blue with brick-red and turquoise eye-spots stacked row upon row.

The box opens on a brass double kiss-lock clasp to an enamel lined interior and hangs from a long silk cord, hand-knotted and finished in two full silk tassels. A bold, graphic piece, this is cloisonné worn as sculpture as much as jewelry.
